Services and Benefits to Events-Hosting in Nova Scotia

Eh! offers the following services/benefits to groups looking to host a major event in Nova Scotia:

• Promote Halifax and Nova Scotia as an event destination within Canada and around the world;
• Conduct initial research regarding the event to determine its viability;
• Prepare an initial economic impact evaluation using the STEAM (Sport Tourism Economic Assessment Model) tool;
• Support with the development of the bid document including but not limited to: preparation of the bid document, development of other collateral bid materials and support in the bid presentation;
• Consultation with the Event Organizer on governance for the local organizing committee;
• Access to the names and contact information of potential volunteers and volunteer organizers;
• Assistance to the Event Organizer on accessing available funds through municipal, provincial and federal funding programs; and
• Consultation during the planning and execution phases on operational issues.
